If i can use software raid i can make 1x 5TB Raid 5 array. Then once you’ve done that, go into disk management and convert the new drives to dynamic, then create a spanned volume between them that creates a single large drive on one drive letter. I bought this card without doing ssta research first thinking it could make 1 large raid 5 array using 6x 1TB drives but only just discovered that it will only handle arrays up to 2TB so atm i have 2x 2TB Raid 5 arrays. So I think Dell adaptecc have been selling off some old stock, or something of the sort. No problems with CentOS. Also did anyone get anywhere wata the battery connection for the cache write?

You can download it here: From what I’ve read, you need some sort of utility to manage it through the OS, however, Adaptec wont cough one up as the card is OEM nor will Dell as theyre just freaking clueless as usual.

Board index All times are UTC. I have 6xGB drives, so I had to make two different arrays. Anyways, good card for a great price. The problem is that little more than Windows supports doing anything with them, so if they get screwed you’re not likely to be able to restore them.
