When I click on the properties button within the properties menu, 206672 Device Status says that the device is working properly.

Conexant SmartAudio HD has unwanted clicks/blips
At this point in time I’m leaning toward a hardware issue with the sound card. When i switch the cabbles from microphone icon and put it in headset icon and took the headset cabble to the microphone icon i noticed that my mic started to work again but i couldn’t hear anything like any sound.
